The réservesuisse cooperative provides services in connection with the import, storage and processing of food and feedstuffs, which are subject to the National Economic Supply Act. In this way, réservesuisse contributes to Switzerland's security of supply by ensuring the supply of the population in case of shortages through an efficient trading system combined with systematic storage of food and feedstuffs. On behalf of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, réservesuisse issues general import permits to importers and controls the stockpiled goods.
